From dgriffi at cs.csubak.edu Fri Apr 14 22:12:51 2006 From: dgriffi at cs.csubak.edu (David Griffith) Date: Fri, 14 Apr 2006 15:12:51 -0700 (PDT) Subject: [P112] P112 and on Message-ID: I think it would be safe to recommend mounting the battery holder sideways; hanging off the edge of the board. The batter holder issue was a hard design decision with no particularly good solution. I'd much rather lay it down than resort to even uglier hacks to make it play nice with an expansion board. This seems more important given talk about making a D/A adapter I've heard from a few of you. It seems likely that when this run of boards is sold out, I'll have another made. If any of you have any suggestions involving battery footprint changes, I'd love to hear them. One that I'll definitely add is a two-pin header for connecting an off-board battery box. I've finally figured out how to get expansion connectors with longer tails for use on expansion boards.
